The youth academy at Southampton is set to focus on developing five young talents over the next three years, according to club officials.
The plan is part of a wider strategy to improve the quality of players coming through the ranks and help them develop into top-class professionals.
The academy has already produced several talented players in recent years, including Charlie Austin, who went on to play for Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the club acknowledges that there is still more work to be done and that it needs to continue investing in its young talent.
The five players who will be developed under the new plan include a forward, a defender, a midfielder, a goalkeeper and a winger.
Each player will receive personalized training and support from experienced coaches and mentors, as well as access to world-class facilities and equipment.
The club also plans to establish a scholarship program for its most promising young players, which will provide financial support and opportunities for further education and development.
"Developing young talent is key to our long-term success," said the club's head coach, Stuart Broad. "We want to ensure that we have a pipeline of high-quality players coming through the ranks and ready to compete at the highest level."
The club has also made progress in recent years by establishing partnerships with other clubs and organizations, such as the Premier League and the Football Association, to help develop its young talent.
"We're proud of what we've achieved so far and we're excited about the future," said Broad. "This new plan is just one step towards ensuring that we have a strong and successful youth academy."
